According to a new report by CNN, the former CEO of FTX has agreed to be extradited to the US, where he is facing criminal charges.
- CNN cites Jerone Roberts – the attorney who represents Sam Bankman-Fried in the Bahamas, who has confirmed that SBF “has agreed to be voluntarily extradited to the United States of America.”
- Roberts also said that his next appearance before the court will be to complete the process of extradition, which should happen later today.
- The attorney also said that he could be extradited on the very same day as the court appearance. According to him, SBF’s decision is driven by his intentions to “put the customers right.”
- SBF is facing multiple charges in the US on behalf of the Securities Exchange Commission, the Commodities and Futures Trading Commission, as well as the Department of Justice.
